Polygon, BSC, xDai to Fantom cross-chain bridge
We have previously told you about xpollinate.io, a cross-chain bridge between the xDai, BSC, and Polygon networks. But what if you want to bridge assets to the Fantom network? Up until now there has to our knowledge only been one (rather expensive) way to bridge tokens to and from the Fantom Opera network by using this bridge.
As of today though, xpollinate.io has added support for the Fantom network as well. This enables you to transfer tokens between these networks at a low cost. Just like in our last post we have tried out the bridge for you and in this post, we will show you the necessary steps to take to transfer tokens between the Polygon and the Fantom Opera networks. These steps will be similar no matter which networks on xpollinate.io you choose to bridge between. As of right now, the Binance smart chain bridge seems to be down for maintenance but I expect it to come back sooner rather than later.
How to use xpollinate.io
Step 1.
First off, you will need to go to xpollinate.io and connect your metamask to the web application. You will be prompted to select which networks you want to bridge between. Just select the networks of your choice and also what token you want to bridge. Next click “SWAP”

Step 2.
In this step, you just wait for the backend of xpollinate to do its thing. You will also get prompted to approve & sign some transactions.

Step 3.
Once everything is set up and ready for your cross-chain swap you will need to enter how much you want to swap and you will also get informed of any fees that you might pay. For me, this fee was 0.005% exactly as you can see from the screenshot below

Once you are satisfied with your input click on the “Swap” button. This will initiate the transfer and bridge your assets to the Fantom Opera Network.

If the transfer was successful you will finally be greeted with a view that looks like the one in step 4.
Step 4.

Once you get to this step you should have already received your assets on the Fantom network. As you might’ve noticed, my transferred USDC are labeled as “Token” by xpollinate. This is kind of confusing but dont worry, these are actually the correct tokens. As soon as I went to spookyswap.finance it recognized the tokens as USDC tokens. You can also confirm that you’ve received USDC tokens by going to a fantom block explorer and searching for your address.
